Sierra Health Foundation

We received this grant while waiting for the SJVMA 501 © (3) application approval to be confirmed. To address Covid equity for farmworkers and the homeless, we published content on Covid-related issues. The Community Alliance had a crew of homeless people distribute newspapers to encampments throughout the city and expanded the Spanish-language section. Thousands of papers were delivered to rural areas, giving farmworkers access to the information they needed in the language they understood. Building Healthy Communities

We received this grant while waiting for the SJVMA 501 © (3) application approval to be confirmed. With this grant, we helped improve opportunities for community engagement by informing communities on methodologies for effective engagement, outlining the effective work of community organizations, educating on key issues of concern in challenged communities, and engaging in investigative reporting on roadblocks to the resolution of issues in our communities. Ethnic Media Outreach Grant

This grant will increase local awareness of hate crimes through newspaper articles, community panels, social media, and radio. Our writers will give a voice to the communities affected, put pressure on law enforcement to respond to these incidents vigorously, and follow up with the community to ensure that their demands have been met.
